August 17, 2018

Aretha Franklin, whose gospel-established singing and soul-filled conveyance earned her the title "the Queen of Soul," has passed away, a family statment said Thursday. She was 76.

Franklin passed on at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit, encompassed by family and companions, as indicated by an announcement in the interest of Franklin's family from her longtime publicist expert Gwendolyn Quinn.

The "official reason for death was pancreatic disease of the neuroendocrine kind, which was affirmed by Franklin's oncologist, Dr. Philip Phillips of Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit," the family proclamation said.
